The MTW AK-105 is the first AK-series replica by Wolverine Airsoft. This HPA replica offers the performance and modularity of a Wolverine MTW, in a different but equally realistically constructed replica.
On the outside, the quality of this replica is instantly visible: the construction of the MTW AK-105 looks extremely realistic. The replica’s receiver consists of stamped steel, just like the real rifle. A CNC-machined aluminium chassis ensures that internal parts remain in place. Just like the real rifle, this replica is equipped with a CNC-machined steel trunnion in the front and rear of the receiver, providing structural integrity. The barrel is attached to the front trunnion, which also contains the chamber. At the front of this trunnion the handguard is located, which is made of polymer just like on the real rifle. This handguard can be replaced with other handguards, allowing further customisation.
The stock is connected to the rear trunnion, which is done on the MTW AK-105 with a steel adapter for the AR-15-style buffer tube. This steel buffer tube is milspec, allowing the stock and the tube to be replaced with numerous alternatives. The included stock on the replica is adjustable.
Performance of the Wolverine MTW AK-105 is of the same high level as the rest of the MTW series, owing to its high-quality internals. An Inferno XTS engine and BLINC Bluetooth FCU (Fire Control Unit) offer extensive customisation and tuning. Examples are the rate of fire, dwell (how long the valve remains open after firing), but also the fire modes, for instance. On this replica, the FCU is equipped with a sensor that functions as a shot counter. By setting the magazine capacity in the app beforehand, the entire reloading process of a fully emptied magazine can be simulated. This results in a bolt that locks open when the magazine is empty, requiring the bolt to be racked before the replica can fire again. There is also a sleep mode built into the FCU, in order to preserve battery life when the replica is not in use.
